All Of You've Been Waiting 2..

Work Proper
I was posted to serve the PPS community of neighbourhood devils and got to know the bestest senior of all time. She is my senior, who eventually became a friend and a god-mummy. She was always there to guide me with difficult root extractions (after which the magic teach phrase was 'giao like a milo can'), to listen and support my views and plans, to offer much needed words of wisdom and encouragement. I know i sowed into her life too, and taught her to smile like she was 2 decades younger.
There's so much we'll catch up during the countless dinners she bought me, and this bond we shared, nothing be replaced. Till today, i receive words of encouragement via sms-it comes once in a blue moon, but i hold it very dear.

I thank my SuperMama for giving me the opportunity to somewhat manage the Clinic after a mere 6 months, that i've gotten very used to working alone. There were little heart to heart individual talks with 2 superiors on one of the days i was back at the Board, and im still wondering if i left them a good impression. There was no pretence on my part, i spoke from my heart, and i hope i received the same kind of treatment too. I conclude that deep down, my dental superiors are genuinely nice folks who sincerely wish me great success in my future endeavors. Some of you might be rolling your fking eyeballs at me for the previous statement but i dont care cause having gone through small talks, there's an undeniable expression on their faces that left me a happy note.

While at HIP, I must credit myself for building great(by that i mean positive) relationships with the servants, security guard, school office staff(s), IT staff, few teachers, counsellor and most importantly, my little clients!

Its always a pleasure talking to UncleX-he was the 1st to know of my intention to resign. He shares with me bits of information bout his wife and filial son-with it comes the occassional complaints of other servants being lazy and blah blah. And the best part? He sings praises of me being demure and polite-teeheehee.
Then there's UncleY, who puts me in very difficult situations like 1) asking me configurations of his mobile phone-with text in characters i dont comprehend-Chinese. 2) calling up CPF board to enquire bout his insurance when I know where the problem lies. It might have been my poor Mandarin/Dialect, but no matter how hard i tried explaining that there're insufficient funds, he couldnt accept it. It took the poor Customer Service Officer >10mins of repetitive explanation in Chinese (WOW!), and >10mins of my time listen to him ramble bout our garh-men. Nonetheless, Im kind to register him in my memory for he calls me 美女-So superficial, i know.
Aunty Z pops by the Clinic with a broom and mop, and fills me in with little gossips.
The guards(both of the female species) greet me, vice versa, and help tell parents to wait at the gate for they are not allowed in the clinic. The 1st time i gave them 4 numbers, it came out first prize, with 2 numbers jumbled. I think they bought a $1 !-Bet ticket each, for they said, "if we 24 da, we'll get 2grand each and you'll get big ang baos today!"
My lunch khaki was PP, from the office, 3years my senior. The bulk of our conversation was bout diving, dance, charitable deeds, empowering her (been trying to change her mindset), getting her out of the couch potato lifestyle and asking her to engage herself in school/other activities. She shares with me bout her family and that's bout it. Someone told me she looked lonely after i left. Too bad-life goes on.
The others were the casual hi-how are you-good day-good bye acquaintances. Considering the amount of time spent in the clinic, this relationship was more than i could ask for. :)

Oh there's this student admirer too! Disgusting, lets not get into that. I love the way some of my lil clients (p1-2) jump/wave when they see me. Not that i have a thing for kids, but its heart warming to know that they acknowledge you despite being clad in a really fugly baby blue suit dress. The older ones who are desperately in search of an identity (talk bout puberty) gives me a wave and the hey-whats-up head tilt.

I received most compliments from parents during the June holidays, most of it carrying the mighty word-professional. I think i've been extremely tactful in handling demanding parents. Sometimes, the most effective way is to portray a 'MY way or no way' image, verbalise the magic words 'i understand your concerns', and give them a lee-way according to MY way. See its still MY way, and a satisfied secondary customer! Any supporters voting ME for a Nobel Peace Prize?
Clinical wise, i think preventive measures go a long way. My vote goes to Fuji7 Fissure Sealant/Protection for its fluoride releasing (i think this property is rechargable!) attributes. All you really need is * isolation, Fuji7 (Duh!), ball burnisher (to pick-up material), a cotton pellet coated with KY (Erm, i mean vaseline. Pun intended) and a finishing stone. ClinPro FS material is a great material to work with but its durability is questioned.
I've also done tooth-coloured restorations on grossly broken down 6s, and the result is beautiful. I've recalled the patient months later and there has been no leakage/breakage whatsoever, also informed to monitor signs and symptoms. P.S.: Please dont go around and bitch bout my doings because you are not informed of latest findings on certain materials. Much appreciated.
I did encounter a major setback, but it was also a positive experience afterall. I still stand firm that it wasnt my fault to begin with, for i took all measures. I remember a Preacher saying, "Bad things happen to good people"-and it has indeed! At the end of the day, I couldnt emphasize the gratitude i have towards my superiors and collegues. Best thing is, now i know what to do should any one else encounter that scenario. Yes you read it right-any one else, not me!

Thats bout all for work the past year.

Whats your story? Whats your legacy?
