On The First Day Of Christmas My True Love Gave To Me...
I mean, on the first day of attachment..
What else could be worse than putting on the blue cleaners' look-a-like uniform.

On bus no. 95 stood a man in blue collare. And i passed a remark i wish i could take back. I said to Kel : Whichever student in dentistry wearing blue today is quite suay. He'll look like he's one of us!

Outside the Dean's office were pictures taken way back before i was born. Spotted Dr Hema in her younger days. She was SO CHEERY. And she still is now! Cuz she's teaching the cream of the crop-US. Haha.

WOW. An eye opener, indeed! Worked with the 4th years. Nice ppl. Ok, not all. Some were rather shy, some were quite friendly. That foreigner i worked with was really approachable. He made me feel so at home!

Couldnt have been more tired. Stood all the way in the clinic man! Too shy to sit eh.

And yes, the most horrid incident : An old indian lady from DSSU.. (Which we thought at first is a toilet cleaner) said : Same ar Same ar! (Referring to our uniform larhhhh. Dont u get what i mean?)

2nd Day was ALOT better. BORING PREVENTIVE DENTISTRY LECTURE. Was like Oral Health Promotion! 1st 2/3 of the lecture, busy taking down notes. For goodness sake. She rattled on and on so quickly that i couldnt bother much more.
Afternoon sessions were great. Starting to feel alittle more comfortable. But need to adapt to the new faces-e 3rd yrs.
Alright. Some looked arrogant. They probably were shy. And we had this prejudice bout # at the very last part of the day.

2 Funny Incidents
1) A toilet cleaner in off white gave us that kind of 'what-are-u-doing-in-that-blue-top' stare. He was literally giving us a disgusted scan from the crown of my head to the sole of my feet! Pointed that out to Pinggy and we laughed over it.
2) Cady and i were at the ladies brushing and grooming. Than in came a lady, peeking in and she went : Fook u! Cady and i turned and looked at each other, bursting out in hilarious laughter.

Pingy had a needlestick injury today. Fault lying in the in-house departments. The needle was embedded in the gown! Shallnt elaborate on it. They paid in full her medical checkup. Hope all will turn out fine for my darling girl.

Wed
Pinggy didnt join us for today. Feeling feverish, she decided to give today a miss.

Boring time at lab, to the extent we sit down for occassional chats at some discreet corner of the clinic. Only our 3rd day and we are sick of observing. Everything seems mundane.

Gave my first.............................to a guy.
Assisted WeiQiang in charting and procedures in Perio. I know i kinda flopped when he stopped work and wore his goggles. Bah, he probably forgot to wear them. :D not that im not doing a good job. And oh, dont get the wrong idea! Dental Therapist/Hygienist dont assist dentists. Any P6 student with average dexterity can do that closing one eye.
These peeps are really a fabulous bunch of big kids! They have their fair share of fun though they look kinda serious at e clinic, I guess. However the staff were not too hospitable.

Thursday's gonna be fun-something new! A staff invited half the class to pop in for denture making session. Cant wait!
